KAPAS RiTi means ‘Fashion of Cotton’ in Sanskrit; a label by Neha Kuchankar is set out with a belief to create modern Indian women’s clothing from beautiful indigenous textiles, weaves, and crafts from the Indian textile industry.
KAPAS RiTi is a long-lost dream of Neha, who is an Engineer by profession and is an exceptional Artist known for her Indian mythological artwork. Hailing from a business family, she was always passionate about entrepreneurship and grew up with an obsession for the classic beauty of Indian handlooms and absolute love for art. Her passion for design and desire to vent her creative energy into fashion seeded the creation of KAPAS RiTi, where she aims to present a unique combination of contemporary chic and rich Indian heritage through the fine crafts and textiles of India.
KAPAS RiTi juxtaposes modern sartorial mastery and the nuances of Indian technique with skill. Neha and her team create pieces, at their studio in Bangalore, that oozes sophistication, emphasize comfort and elegance, and are effortlessly stylish and trendy. KAPAS RiTi is for anyone free spirited yet has a space reserved for the cultural soul. The collections express a love of colours, detail and craft, both in technique and the very fabric we work with.
